Actor Omkar Kapoor, who shared the screen with Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in Judaai, recently opened up about his fond memories of the Bollywood superstar and the encouragement he received early in his career. Recalling his time on the sets of Saawariya, Omkar said, “I was an assistant director on the sets of Saawariya, and Anil Kapoor would sometimes visit the sets. He would always encourage me, saying ‘now you’re all grown up and doing good work, keep the Kapoor name rising.’” These words left a lasting impression on Omkar and motivated him to pursue acting with confidence.
Omkar began his career as a child artist, appearing in films such as Masoom, Chaahat, Hero No. 1, and Judwaa. He later made a strong comeback as an adult actor with Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, starring alongside Kartik Aaryan. Reflecting on his early days, Omkar said, “It was a beautiful phase of my life as a child artist. That journey was filled with associations with big actors and directors. I was very mischievous and dramatic, and the audience connected with that on the big screen. Even I had a gala time doing it—I wasn’t doing things in a planned manner, I was just enjoying the film set. I think people still remember me from that little mischievous kid.”
His memories of Anil Kapoor visiting the sets highlight the warmth and support that senior actors extended to young talent. Omkar recalls how those interactions helped shape his understanding of the film industry, instilling confidence and a sense of responsibility to carry forward the Kapoor legacy.
Omkar also shared insights into his friendship with Kartik Aaryan, saying, “Like any real friendship, where you left off, you start from there. That is a sign of good friendship. Like me, he was also a little mischievous and entertaining, even in his personal life. He is a good actor, and though we don’t meet very often, when we do, there is a lot of love and warmth.” Their camaraderie off-screen mirrors the playful and energetic dynamic seen in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.
Looking back on both his childhood career and his adult roles, Omkar Kapoor reflects on a journey shaped by mentorship, friendship, and passion for cinema. From the mischievous child on set to a confident actor navigating the Bollywood landscape, Omkar continues to cherish his early experiences while building meaningful connections with co-stars and audiences alike.
